Stardori - Customised Leather Notebook Cover

I have been working on a project for the last week. Let me start with a little back story.

Since the start of this year I have been really enjoying using notebooks, Field Notes mostly but also Word Notebooks. Having a place to jot down thoughts and ideas is a really great thing! I also got a leather 'Not-a-Midori' notebook case, in a beautiful grey shade stamped with my name, made by Ray Blake (of My life all in one place). There is a video of my 'Raydori' and how I have it set up here.

I had wanted another one, an alternative. I was pointed in the direction of an Etsy store, 'Molsmum' by my friend Justin (of Blank and Write). He had shown a collection of covers he purchased from this store and they looked really great, such wonderful colours. I picked up a white one knowing that I had plans for it. It was a lovely leather but far too plain. So I decided to take a step into the world of leather crafting. I got a leather stamp in a star shaped and made an awesome pattern of stars, which is the reason behind the name Stardori. It was so much fun and I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome!

I have created a video to go with this post, I go into much more detail about the process and how I will be using my Stardori.

Below this gallery of photos is a list of the supplies and tools used to create my Stardori!
